Privacy Policy
Effective July 14, 2026
Main Character LLP operates Haptix. This policy explains what information we process when you use the Haptix app or website.
Information we process
If you create an account, we process your email address, username, account identifier, optional profile photo, and authentication data. We also process content and activity you choose to publish, including haptic tracks, presets, comments, likes, follows, reports, blocks, and related counts. Public profile and published-content information can be seen by other people.
Device permissions
Selected photos may be uploaded as your profile image. Microphone audio used by Music Capture and raw motion readings used by Drive mode are analyzed on your device and are not uploaded; only the haptic events you choose to save or publish are retained. Drafts, private presets, and preferences may be stored locally on your device.
Haptix also records limited first-party product interaction events, such as app opens, screen views, video starts, editor use, sign-in provider, and publishing. These events may include an account identifier when you are signed in, a coarse app and operating-system version, and a related content UUID. We do not collect raw video, audio, motion, location, advertising identifiers, or user-entered text for this analytics stream.
Website analytics
The website records only a limited first-party event name, page path, and timestamp to understand page visits and button use. It does not set an advertising cookie or store a cross-site identifier, and respects the browser Do Not Track setting. Hosting infrastructure may process ordinary request information such as an IP address for delivery and security.
Providers and purposes
Supabase provides authentication, database, storage, and server functions. YouTube and Google provide embedded video and thumbnails and may receive technical and playback information under the Google Privacy Policy and YouTube Terms. We use information to operate, secure, improve, and moderate Haptix. We do not sell personal information or use third-party advertising SDKs.
Retention, deletion, and rights
We keep account and published information while needed to provide and protect the service, meet legal obligations, or resolve disputes. You can remove content in the app and use Settings → Delete Account to delete your account and associated server-hosted content. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal information.
Children, security, and contact
Haptix is not directed to children under 13. We use reasonable safeguards, but no online system can guarantee absolute security. For privacy requests or questions, email hello@maincharacter.one.
